On February 3rd, 2015, Ford warmed the hearts of Ford performance enthusiasts living in America with the announcement of the all-new Ford Focus RS.  The newest redesign is Ford’s third-generation of the Focus RS and will be available in major markets around the world including, for the first time in Focus RS history, the United States!  We can remember just a year ago posting the second-generation on social media with pleas that Ford bring it to America.  The wait is over!  The Focus RS comes after January’s announcement of the GT350R and the Ford GT supercar – all part of a new era of Ford performance that will deliver 12 new vehicles by 2020. The Ford Fiesta 1.0L and Mini Cooper are two amazingly fun to drive hatchbacks in the subcompact class. Both have been redesigned for the 2014 model year, with the Mini gaining an update to its familiar looks, and the Fiesta gaining new technologies as well as a handsome new front end. Both Ford and Mini have also announced their first Three-Cylinder Engines, making their debuts in the Fiesta and Cooper Hatchback respectively. This is a big deal considering that compact and lower segments have held an industry standard of Four-Cylinder engines. Ford is continuing the new tradition of making EcoBoost powered engines that perform better than their competitor’s engines with more cylinders. While these cars provide a completely different image and perception in the marketplace, when you compare them you will realize that this is not entirely the case.

2015 Ford Focus: Smarter, Sleeker, Turbocharged

Despite the Ford Focus being the top selling vehicle in the world, Ford has decided to redesign the 2015 Ford Focus compact car to be bolder, smarter, and even more fuel efficient.  Taking design queues from the Fiesta and Fusion, the front fascia and front hood have all been redesigned, including the headlamps and fog lamps.  The liftgate and taillamps have also been redesigned for the hatchback, as well as the trunklid on the sedan.  Every model except the S will see available redesigned wheels ranging from 15″ – 18″.
