Seasonal weather shouldn’t interfere with holiday plans. Everyone with a 2016 Ford knows they can get there no matter what winter throws at them! This is thanks to the ultra capable Ford Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive system. This system monitors road conditions and adjusts accordingly. This then allows for optimal traction in any situation, assuring you that your sure-footed Ford will get you to your destination with no trouble.
How does it do this? Magic of course! The magic of great engineering that is, as the Intelligent drive system monitors data all over the vehicle such as steering angle, pedal position, acceleration, turning, and wheel speeds every second to prevent traction loss from the start. If it senses traction loss it will send torque to the rear wheels as needed to instantly improve handling.
Did you also know that this system helps in normal driving conditions too, not just rain or snow? It can send the power to the front wheels in normal driving conditions to help make the vehicle more efficient, which in turn will save you money. But if you’re a performance geek like us here at Ford Addict, you’ll also notice that the power can also be sent to the rear wheels in normal conditions to aid acceleration as well.
In the 2016 Explorer models a Terrain Management System allows a choice of 5 settings to optimize the vehicles capabilities on and off road. These modes are Normal, Mud/Ruts, Sand, Grass/Gravel/Snow, and Hill Control.
The Explorer’s Terrain Management selector. Turn it to the condition you need, and you’re ready to power through anything!
It’s probably with mentioning that you can get All-Wheel Drive on vehicles outside of Ford’s SUV range. In fact: Here is a list of 2016 Ford models that can be optioned with All-Wheel or Four-Wheel Drive:

Instead of explaining how awesome the Focus RS AWD system is, we’ll let this diagram show everything. #Magic
The current Ford lineup is full of some all out great cars. We’ll focus on two highlights in the lineup; The Fusion, with its charming looks, roomy cabin, (and it was even named a best car for recent college graduates by Autotrader), and the Escape, the powerful and athletic SUV. But lets say you’re in the market for something pre-owned. A newer vehicle comes with some advantages, but the used market provides some very affordable alternatives. No, we don’t mean those “buy here, pay here” places, we mean Certified Pre-Owned vehicles. Read More
While every ad aspires to be like something created from the mind of Don Draper from Mad Men, most ads can be easily forgotten and somewhat boring. Some ads are just plain sad, like those puppy ones with the song “Angel” playing in the background. But, there are some ads that can distract us from watching our favorite shows for a brief amount of time, and actually enjoy it! New TV ads evolved from ads in magazines, which also were meant to catch your eye while flipping through pages. We’ve decided to look into advertisements by our favorite vehicle brand over the years. Here’s our list of the best Ford advertisements ever made!
2014 Ford Model Changes
Ford never stops in its quest to bring the most efficient, powerful cars that offer customers the best value in the marketplace. Every year Ford Motor Company brings its best game and improves upon their existing model foundations with new standard equipment, options and exterior updates. The 2014 models are beginning to arrive, and once again Ford is packing more value into every model in the lineup. Nearly every vehicle we have available has some changes to it, including one complete redesign and one mid-cycle refresh. Even vehicles that were redesigned in 2013 are getting updates for the new model years.
