Ford Certified Pre Owned Program

Ford Certified Pre-Owned Program Used Car Trucks

If you’re a first time car buyer, or someone just looking for a good deal, a pre-owned vehicle is a smart investment. Used cars are more reliable today than ever before. You can get a great bargain for a vehicle that’s only a year old with a couple thousand miles because that vehicles value has already depreciated about 20-30%. The great thing is, just because the value has depreciated, doesn’t mean the vehicle won’t last you another 10 years. Mileage, safety, and whether or not the vehicle is still under warranty could all be factors in the decision being made to buy a certain vehicle. This is where the Ford Certified Pre Owned Program makes it easy.

The Ford Certified Pre Owned program takes the risk out of buying a previously owned vehicle. Driving a Ford CPO vehicle comes with the knowledge and security of knowing that your vehicle has undergone rigorous inspection and is manufacturer-backed Limited Warranty covered. To understand the weight of being a Ford CPO vehicle, take a look at the 172 inspection that all CPO’s must pass below.

Each point will be assessed, and must pass the inspection. If a point does does not pass, it will either be repaired or replaced. The benefit of Ford certifying these vehicles is that: if a point does not pass inspection, a dealership must replace it with a Ford factory part, so you will not be purchasing a vehicle with lesser parts if it has been repaired. Along with the 172 point inspection and a vehicle history report, CPO’s come with their original Powertrain Warranty – 7 year/100,000 mile coverage from the date of original purchase. On top of this, Ford offers a 1 year/12,000 mile Comprehensive Limited Coverage Warranty.

With a CPO you also receive complementary 24 Hour Roadside Assistance. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year you can call for road side assistance with coverage that includes:

  • Towing assistance of up to $100 for warranty and non-warranty problems, including accidents (excludes impound and repossession)
  • Travel expense reimbursement of up to $500, for up to three days’ lodging, meals and rental vehicle for travel expenses accrued when the breakdown occurs more than 100 miles from home
  • Destination expense assistance of up to $75 for emergency transportation to the immediate destination
  • Rental car reimbursement of up to $30 per day for up to five days
  • Fuel delivery if the vehicle runs out of fuel — up to two gallons at no charge
  • Flat-tire changes on site
  • Jump starts for dead batteries
  • Lockout assistance of up to $50 to unlock vehicle doors
  • Service throughout the 50 United States and Canada
